Salary: EUR700 - EUR720 per day

About the role

A main Irish government department requires 2 x Senior SharePoint developers to join their team and play a key role in an upcoming migration project.

The SharePoint Developers will primarily be working with SharePoint on premise for the duration of this contract, which is initially offered on a 24-month basis with a high probability of extension well beyond this date

Located in an easily accessible part of Dublin City Centre, the role is offered on a Hybrid basis, with attendance required onsite on a 2 day per week basis.

 

Responsibilities of Role

• Day to day management and oversight of the IM&T Development Team activities, managing individual and team capacity in supporting a variety of systems and deliverables.

• Supports Development Management in the assessment and delivery of urgent ad-hoc project and non-project development as the need arises, prioritising work within the IM&T Development Team as required.

• Provide weekly progress reports on work assigned

• Work with the technical team to optimise and error-check all code

• Participate in the development of the SharePoint application lifecycle maintenance processes

• Contribute to the development of technical documentation including design documents and support plans

• Participate in the development of content migration approaches for CMS, shared drives, and SharePoint 2014 / 2016

• Execute against project plans, scopes, schedules and budgets

• Participate in system testing and defect/issue resolution

• Participate in the full Agile Software Development Lifecycle for Case management and LIMS SharePoint projects.

 

Essential Candidate Requirements

• Third level degree in IT, Computer Science or other discipline with a significant coding/programming element (Postgraduate education or relevant certification along with Primary Degree may also suffice)

• Relevant Microsoft Certification – MS365 or other with a significant SharePoint component (Relevant experience may suffice)

• 7+ Years experience working with SharePoint, a significant portion of which should have been spent on development

• Have previously led, or had a Senior role with a technical team with responsibilities for the development, maintenance and support of a variety of SharePoint systems, such as Case Management systems and Laboratory Information Management

• Previous experienceDesigning & developing enterprise level SharePoint solutions while integrating with and utilising other technologies such as SQL server, ASP .Net, MS exchange etc.

• Comfortable with ccommunicating clearly and effectively to various stakeholders at different levels, including those from both technical and non-technical backgrounds and those at end-user and senior management levels.
