Dynamic online business based in the Northeast of Ireland has an urgent requirement for a Senior Systems Engineer

The Senior Systems Engineer will be required to:

• To grow support and troubleshoot the platform required to underpin the company’s Digital and Retail operations

• Utilize advanced technical knowledge to analyse, log, track and resolve complex software/hardware issues

• Design, influence and provide guidance to leadership for future infrastructure and platform decisions

• Plan, recommend and implement changes, updates and enhancements to the server/virtualization/storage infrastructure

Essential Candidate Requirements:

• Expert level OS support for Windows Server 2008 onwards

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar environment

• Strong working knowledge of Linux (Centos , RedHat)

• VMWare, HyperV, Citrix

• Bash, PowerShell

• Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL

• IIS , HTTP(s) , FTP(s) DNS and Windows AD

• PRTG, Cacti, Site 24×7

• O365, Azure and/or AWS

• Ansible

• Experience with Cloudflare or other DDOS/bot mitigation systems

• Practical knowledge of central log management systems i.e. AppDynamics / Graylog / ELK

• Dell and HP Server Technologies

• SAN technologies (Pure Storage , EMC , Brocade) etc

• Data driven approach to problem analysis
