The Role
As Head of Psychology, you will:
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of dedicated psychologists and clinicians.
• Shape and implement a progressive mental health and psychological strategy across the organisation.
• Provide clinical oversight and ensure the highest standards of ethical, evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to embed psychological insight across departments.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and professional development.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory bodies and uphold gold-standard safeguarding practices.

About You
• The Head of Psychology will lead and be responsible for the effective delivery of a quality psychology services to children and adults with complex disability via our Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNTs) and our enhanced complex care pathways.
• Proven leadership in a clinical, healthcare, education, or service-oriented setting.
• A strong record of delivering psychological services with impact and innovation.
• A passion for developing people, driving performance, and influencing culture.
• Outstanding interpersonal, strategic, and organisational skills.
• A natural ability to collaborate across disciplines and bring teams together under a shared vision.

Key Requirements
• Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or related field
• Extensive experience in working with individuals with disability
• Extensive experience in working with individuals with autism and neurodiversity
• Proven track record of strategic leadership and service transformation
• Strong clinical expertise and knowledge of evidence-based practices
• Experience in research and innovation within the field of psychology.
