We are hiring Staff Grade and Senior Grade Speech and Language Therapist with experience in children complex needs to work with our Intellectual Disability healthcare client in Dublin, Ireland.

Description

We are looking to recruit a full-time, highly motivated Basic and Senior Grade Speech and Language Therapist to our client in Intellectual Disability  public healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Work as a member of an interdisciplinary team
  • Support assessment and interventions in line with principles of children’s disability forum.
  • Manage caseload of children/young people and carry out home/school visits as necessary.
  • Become familiar with HSE policies, legislations and high standards of service delivery.
  • Ability to work in a high pressure fast paced environment.

 Person Specification: 

  • Experience working with children with intellectual disabilities
  • Competencies in the assessment of children with disabilities using appropriate assessment tools
  • Aware of compliant with current child protection and safeguarding legislation and local policies and procedures.
  • Competencies in the assessment of children with disabilities using appropriate assessment tools.

Key competencies required 

  • BSc/MSc in Speech and Language Therapy or its equivalent.
  • Excellent Communication skills and organisation.
  • Current registered with CORU or eligible for same.
  • Must have  02-03 years of post- qualification experience.
