Workers' Compensation Claims Administrator

OVERVIEW: The successful candidate is responsible for managing and overseeing workplace injury claims from initial report through resolution. This role ensures timely, accurate processing of claims while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies. The Claims Administrator partners with employees, managers, insurance carriers, and medical providers to facilitate effective claim handling, support injured employees, and promote safe and cost-effective outcomes.

This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, and excellent communication skills to navigate sensitive situations and provide consistent updates to all stakeholders.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer and manage a caseload of workers’ compensation claims from initial report through closure. 
  • Monitor claim progress, ensuring timely follow-ups and compliance with all regulatory requirements. 
  • Coordinate with insurance carriers, third-party administrators (TPAs), legal counsel, medical providers, and internal stakeholders. 
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential claim records in accordance with company and legal requirements. 
  • Identify trends and recommend strategies to reduce claim costs and improve outcomes. 
  • Advise management on claim status, risk exposure, and corrective actions. 
  • Participate in audits and support continuous process improvement initiatives.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience, with 2+ years in workers’ compensation, claims administration, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of workers’ compensation laws and experience managing full claims lifecycle (intake through resolution)
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret medical and legal documentation
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with employees, managers, and insurers
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with claims systems preferred
