Hire Desk Controller

Location: Caerphilly (CF83)
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum

The Role

We're looking for an experienced, driven and self-motivated Hire Desk Controller to join a growing business within the hire industry.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who can take ownership of the role, manage their own workload and contribute to the ongoing development of the department. We're looking for a commercially minded individual with strong sales ability, excellent customer service skills and a proactive approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer enquiries via phone and email.
• Prepare quotations, hire contracts and off-hires.
• Coordinate deliveries and collections with the operations team.
• Build strong customer relationships and maximise sales opportunities.
• Maintain accurate hire records and support the invoicing process.
• Resolve customer queries professionally.
• Monitor fleet availability and work closely with internal teams.

About You

• Previous Hire Desk, sales support or customer service experience.
• Strong sales and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organisation and workload management.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and IT systems.
• Self-sufficient, proactive and able to work on your own initiative.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable: Experience within the plant, tool, cabin or equipment hire industry.
