IT Trainer/Project Manager – Hybrid Role – Central London

IT Trainer and Project Support required for a leading Law Firm based in Central London to liaise between a small IT Team and legal staff. The suitable candidate will play a key role in determining user requirements, workflows and processes, as well as developing the use of technology products used across the firm. You will liaise between the two departments and provide training which comprises of new user inductions, application training and project support training. You will be evaluating and developing the use of technology products across the firm. This opportunity is perfect for anyone coming from a project management background who is keen to train and deliver programme content, or for an IT Trainer who possess project management skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Taking new staff through a full IT Induction
  • Developing training methods and communication channels to improve existing training efficacy
  • Developing existing staff skills across third party and in-house applications.
  • Take escalated Helpdesk calls which could include complex formatting issues etc.
  • Translating business requirements into specifications
  • Working with legal staff to develop process maps and workflows
  • Establishing how technologies can assist, enable and improve business processes
  • Assisting with projects in areas such as UAT and product design/deployment
  • Training staff on new products and subsequent releases
  • Assisting with project and change management
  • Translating business requirements into specifications
  • Working with the legal staff to determine how they work and to develop process maps and workflows
  • Establishing how technologies can assist/enable/improve business processes
  • Helping with projects in areas such as user acceptance testing and product design/deployment.
  • Being the voice of the user and establishing the training solutions for staff on new products and upgrades.

 

Key Skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010, Windows 2010
  • Knowledge of VPN and Remote Desktop
  • Experience of business process modelling, user cases and case modelling
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and have a flexible approach to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Clear written and verbal communication.

This opportunity is based in Central London (Liverpool Street)

Our client are paying up to £50,000 per annum for this position.
