We have a Concrete Plant Operative position available within Holcim Bow. This role is ideal for someone who considers themself to be reliable, proactive and eager to learn.

Role: Concrete Plant Operative 

Location: Holcim, Bow Midland Depot, Wick Lane, Bow, London, E3 2TB

Rate: £14.00 per hour 

Hours: Standard hours are Monday - Friday  7am-6pm with a 30mins unpaid lunch and overtime available. 

Contract length: temp-perm

Start: ASAP

Responsibilities:

• Manage the automated and mechanical production of concrete.
• Inspect and monitor inventory levels for cement, aggregates
• Conduct pre-shift walkarounds, routine machinery calibrations, minor repairs, and cleaning of belts, silos, and mixers
• Program and monitor approved mix designs into computer-controlled plant systems to ensure precise measurement and consistency.
• Using the computer control system for the plant
• Navigating the program of works via computer
• Using tannoy and 2 way radio to communicate with site
• Practising the highest standards of Health and Safety at all times 

Essential requirements:

• Strong work ethic and desire to learn
• Previous construction experience desirable but open to other backgrounds 
• Previous machine operation experience desirable 
• CSCS Card or MP Connect would be desirable 
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to conduct manual handling 
• Sound IT literacy skills 
• Some knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
