Contract Duration: 24 months

Status: Resident/Single/Family

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Technical Focal Point for the building layout and design for the process and non-process buliding. Good overall understanding of the strutural framing of Substations, ITR buildings, Control Buildings and non process buildings required to support the day-to-day operation of a large LNG Facility.
  • Coordinate and lead the project building discipline aspects to ensure the technical objectives are met within the approved scope, budget and schedule.
  • Provide technical review, guidance and advice in relation to architectural, MEP and HVAC designs and installation for the building scope, ensuring compliance with the project specifications and the applicable statutory building regulations (RLC and Qatar)
  • Provide engineering surveillance on the building deliverables and the quality of the work being produced by the EPC Contractor
  • Monitor discipline schedule and progress.
  • Coordinate EPC execution for all Onshore Project process and non-process buildings, including Engineering Surveillance, Management of Change, schedule and progress monitoring, Specification Deviations, project reviews, procurement and construction.
  • Facilitate engineering discipline technical reviews for architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and loss prevention, including functional support as required
  • Manage interfaces among Engineering, Construction, Systems Completion and Operations to obtain timely stakeholder input and decisions
  • Provide engineering surveillance on EPC civil/structural deliverables.
  • Monitor discipline schedule and progress.
  • Transition from Home Office engineering phase to Field engineering organization for construction, commissioning and handover of the buildings

Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science/Engineering (or equivalent) in an applicable field.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience in EPC projects, including detailed design and construction phases
  • Experience in the design and construction of buildings associated with oil and gas processing facilities (control buildings/substations/ITR Buildings etc)
  • Knowledge and experience of design/construction of buildings in the middle east, requirements for the extreme heat conditions
  • Knowledge of the Industry Standards associated with the safe siting and design of buildings within oil and gas processing facilities
  • Knowledge of the design of buildings to withstand blast and toxic gas release scenarios, including the design and installation of the MEP/HVAC systems
  • Understanding of Building Information Modelling (BIM) or other 3D methods, and how such methods can be used to improve the efficient planning, design and construction of the buildings
  • Experience of working in multicultural environments.
