Our client which is a crude oil and natural gas company is urgently looking for a “Batch 1 MIEC Inspection Engineer”

Location: Doha, Qatar
Status: Resident/Single
Duration of contract: 5 months
Work schedule: 5 days per week/ 8 hrs. per day

HSEQ responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Incident Free culture, Health and Safety and environment policy
- Support and enforce the project HESQ management system (charters, objectives, directives, plans, procedures and specifications etc.)
- Promotes HSEQ awareness of workforce at all levels through proactive attitude - site tour at construction yard, attend HSEQ meetings ensuring risks are identified, actions assigned and managed within project team and contractors
- Monitor work activities, especially areas where unsafe acts could occur and ensure that risks have been properly identified and assessed prior to work execution (Job Safety Analysis)
- Ensure that potential failures, weaknesses and hazards are immediately reported
Technical Inspection responsibilities:
- Implement and suggest improvements to the Inspection philosophy
- Review and validate, on spot check basis, the quality and compliance of documents required for the
- completion of inspection deliverables in the Electronic Documentation System (EDMS)
- Ensure that inspection requirements are properly addressed, especially for the main packages during detailed enginerring activities (Inspectability)
- Review documentation both EPCIC and project
- Review the standardisation of project design evaluating against OPEX costs
- Participation in maintainability & inspectability reviews as required
- Manage all Baseline activities ensuring that shedule meets project milestones, working closly with
- MIEC baseline inspectors and overseeing and resolving technical issues
- Review and ensure that maintainability and handling aspects are addressed during detailed
- engineering, construction and commissioning phases including 3 D modelling reviews
- Review and validate inspection dossiers prepared by MIEC
Project responsibilities:
- Manage the performance of all indirect or contract personnel working on inspection activities
- Follow-up, manage and validate the MIEC Inspection engineering activities ensuring that the
- schedule meets EPCIC milestones
- Ensure that appropriate resourcing are in place for all inspection activities
- Co-ordinate the preparation and the implementation of Inspection data to be loaded in CMIMS
- Manage contracts as directed by MIEC Leader
- Supervise the preparation, review and validate the Inspection dossiers
- Prepare the inspection activities required prior and after facilities start up
- Facilitate efficient communication/information flow with project team, stakeholders and inspection department
- Ad-hoc activities as required by line manager
- All staff must be willing to participate in Crisis Response Training and to assist during
- Emergency Response Situations if required
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in the petrochemical, refining, Oil & Gas exploration or similarindustry in an Inspection Engineering role, TOTAL EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED
- Demonstrable experience of Risk Based Inspection experience (RBI) preferably in the petrochemical,
- refining, Oil & Gas exploration or similar industry
- Experience with FAME+ software both Engineering and Analysis
- Detailed knowledge of legislation/regulations relevant to inspection discipline
- Familiar with standards, PRODOM and relevant codes and standards
- Fluent in English (listening, writing and speaking) and its technical vocabulary
- Computer literate
- Good communication and analytical skills
- Medically fit to travel to offshore oil & gas platform
- H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET certification
