Salary: GBP40000 - GBP55000 per annum + Uncapped Bonus, Car Allowence
A highly recognised global brand within Express, E-commerce and Freight are growing from strength to strength. They are looking for a Business Development Executive with Freight experience to join their expanding sales team in London and the South East. £40k-£55k OTE £70k which is around £15k-£20k on top of the basic salary + Car Allowance. Th Head office will be based in the Slough/Heathrow area.


Territory: London & South East

How often will you be in the office? 2-3 times a week, this is not a working from home role but as a BDM you are expected to be out the office on meetings but to make the calls being in the office is necessary. Office will be based in SLOUGH/HEATHROW AREA.

You will be:

Responsible for the strategic growth, direction and overall profitability of the Freight sales performance as well as building and developing an extensive Freight client base. Working closely with the UK Sales Manager, wider sales teams and interfacing with the operational teams in the UK and Europe.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

•Align the Freight sales strategy with the overall business strategy
•Drive the business Freight sales and wider team to delivering GP Targets
•Generate Freight business leads, follow the whole sales cycle and ensure smooth transition into operations
•Design and implement bespoke Freight solutions for clients
•Create innovative and entrepreneurial solutions, maximising efficiency of the network.
•Be receptive to changing trends in the Freight Industry space and offer strategic direction to increase market share
•Approach sales from a strategic, long-term perspective, building relationships with expanding companies
•You will win the business and then pass on the Accounts after 12 months to the Account Manager
•100% New Business until you have a customer base within the 12 months

Key Experience & Other Requirements:

•Entrepreneurial outlook
•Knowledge and experience in implementing Freight Solutions operationally
•Ability to build and maintain business relationships
•Strong sales skills
•Ability to lead and motivate a team of operational resource
•Experience in working with SME’s and Large Freight businesses
•Experience in selling and designing bespoke delivery services for clients
•Must have NEW BUSINESS Experience
