My financial services client based in Manchester (remote working for the time being until restrictions are lifted) is looking for a Regulatory Oversight Associate to join on a 6 months contract paying £310/day PAYE. The ideal candidate will have very strong and thorough regulatory understanding. You will ideally have a strong understanding of SMCR – Senior Managers Certification Regime, but also CASS and CAP can be useful.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the leadership, development and delivery of a successful Regulatory environment across Operations Utilities globally, with specific focus on SMCR and CASS responsibilities.
• Supporting Ops Utilities teams and management in the execution of said responsibilities on a daily and ad hoc basis, managing tasks to the required deadline.
• Ensure the adherence of the global Ops Utilities teams to our regulatory objectives.
• Effective breach management, lessons learned and breach reduction goals across the global group.
• Drive strong culture of regulatory adoption, including CASS, across the global teams, which can be evidenced and demonstrated.
• Deliver relevant and applicable training across the groups to support the regulatory environment on an ad hoc and continuous basis.
• Provide support and leadership to the CASS responsible, CAP accountable and certified UK manager through the execution of specific tasks, attendance of required meetings and representing the global group on these meetings.
• Responsible for the maintenance of required procedures, schedules, testing frameworks and required supporting monthly documentation.
• Build successful relationships with CASS and other regulatory counterparts.
• Be able to manage across teams, functions and multiple teams.
• Sound regulatory knowledge especially within CASS and SMCR, desire to extend and broaden understanding to benefit the group and wider organisation.
• Strong background knowledge and ability to learn multiple functions and understand regulatory impacts.
• Develop and enrich relationships across Operations Utility Business Partners (Risk, Control, Finance) as well as other Lines of Business.
• End to end Project Management across Operations team.
