My client in the financial services sector requires a Trade Support Specialist to join on a 12 months contract paying £234.60/day via Umbrella (inside IR35).

Job Description:

The Trade Support Specialist reports to the Supervisor and is responsible for the timely and accurate processing and/or settlement of security trades and, where appropriate, cash transactions, on behalf of their assigned Middle Office clients.

Tasks must be completed in accordance with client Service Level Agreements/Descriptions, established policies and procedures and in line with market practice and all exceptions accurately recorded, investigated, monitored and, as necessary, escalated to ensure timely resolution.

In addition, the position will be responsible for accurate reflection of complex transaction activity involving sophisticated structures and investment transactions.

The position is the primary contact for trade support and settlement services within Middle Office Client Service Delivery for specific clients. They will assist the Team Lead with the mentoring and training of new hires by Job Shadowing. The incumbent will participate in projects individually or in a team environment.

The Senior Trade Support Specialist will be required to effectively interface with various global institutions within the financial services industry. The incumbent will interface with, where applicable, Custodian Banks, Brokers, Asset Managers and Securities Lending Agents. They will be required to effectively work with various internal functional teams and operational ""Centres of Excellence"" globally - located in the Americas, EMEA and APAC, as applicable.

Minimum experience, skills, certifications and academic background necessary to perform the position:
• Experience in financial services in a similar trade support role.
• Experience with Aladdin system essential
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure within set deadlines.
• Ability to provide support to other team members by answering questions and offering guidance.
• Bachelors Degree preferred.
