Acetek Systems is a long-established Australian business providing cutting-edge security, access control, CCTV, Wi-Fi, and intercom solutions to hospitals, aged care facilities, and commercial environments. Many of their team members began their careers as trainees and are now senior technicians or service managers, proof of the company’s commitment to long-term career development.

About the Role

This is a directly employed Certificate IV in Information Technology Traineeship, giving you the chance to gain real industry experience while completing a nationally recognised qualification.

You’ll work across a variety of teams: Service, Projects, and Technology, gaining a broad understanding of how IT systems are installed, programmed, and maintained in real-world settings.

A typical day could include:

  • Installing and configuring Nurse Call, Access Control, CCTV, Wi-Fi, and other IT systems
  • Assisting with on-site maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Travelling with technicians to customer sites around Sydney (vehicle and travel allowance provided)
  • Learning how to program and commission systems that keep facilities safe and connected
  • Supporting senior technicians while building practical, hands-on skills
  • No two days are the same — you’ll enjoy plenty of variety, teamwork, and learning opportunities in a friendly, supportive environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Someone ready to kickstart a long-term career in IT and technology
  • A quick learner with good communication skills and attention to detail
  • Someone with a flexible, can-do attitude who enjoys hands-on work
  • A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle (essential)
  • Commitment to completing a 24-month full-time traineeship (38 hours per week)
