Business Trainee (Finance Administration)

Certificate III in Business | Full-Time | East Melbourne VIC

About the Role

This traineeship offers valuable hands-on experience in a professional office environment. You will be working as an Admin Officer within the Finance Department, supporting day-to-day financial and administrative operations across the team. This role is a great opportunity to build strong administration, finance support, and customer service skills, while completing a Certificate III in Business.

Your duties may include:

  • General administration such as filing, data entry, emails, phone calls, and document preparation
  • Assisting with processing invoices, payments, and financial documents
  • Updating records in internal finance systems
  • Supporting internal stakeholders with finance-related queries or missing information
  • Helping ensure work follows correct financial procedures and compliance requirements
  • Communicating with schools and internal teams to resolve billing or documentation queries
  • Working closely with the wider finance team to support smooth and timely financial processes

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • A professional and friendly phone manner
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Motivation and eagerness to learn
  • Customer service experience (desirable, not essential)
  • A positive attitude and willingness to support a busy team
