Labourer – Fabrication & Manufacturing

We are currently recruiting for a Labourer to join a busy fabrication and manufacturing site in Billingham. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable candidates looking for an immediate start with ongoing work and the potential for long-term opportunities.

Shift Pattern & Pay Rates

This role operates on a 3-shift rotating pattern:

• 6:00am – 2:00pm: £15.71 per hour
• 2:00pm – 10:00pm: £16.93 per hour
• 10:00pm – 6:00am: £17.60 per hour (includes shift premium)

Key Responsibilities

• Dressing and finishing metal components to the required quality standards
• Grinding, fettling, and smoothing metal castings
• Safely operating hand and power tools
• Inspecting finished components to ensure they meet quality specifications
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Following health and safety procedures at all times

Requirements

• Previous experience in metal dressing, fettling, grinding, or a similar manufacturing role
• Experience within a heavy engineering, fabrication, or foundry environment is desirable
• Ability to work a rotating 3-shift pattern (days, afternoons, and nights)
• Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Reliable, hardworking, and available to start immediately
