Fabricator / Welder
Location: Derby
Pay: Up to £16.50 per hour 
Contract: Temp to Perm
Shift: Days

We’re recruiting a skilled Fabricator Welder to join a well-established business in Derby. This is a hands-on role producing bespoke metalwork and architectural components, involving both fabrication from scratch and high-quality welding.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate metal structures and components from scratch
• Carry out MIG and TIG welding to a high standard
• Read and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Complete multi-pass and positional welding on mild steel up to 25mm
• Use fabrication equipment including guillotines, press brakes, rollers and grinders
• Measure, cut and assemble materials to tight tolerances
• Inspect finished work to ensure quality and compliance
• Occasional working away may be required

What We’re Looking For

• Strong fabrication background, ideally within a heavy engineering environment
• Proven MIG and TIG welding experience
• Confident working from detailed drawings
• Comfortable working with a range of metals and fabrication methods
