Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 + Bonus + Company Car

Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for building strong customer relationships and growing business opportunities? We’re looking for an Area Sales Manager to join our UK team, covering Northern England.
The Role
Reporting to the Northern UK Regional Manager, you will take ownership of an established customer base while identifying and developing new business opportunities across your region.
This is a dynamic, field-based role, with approximately 80% of your time spent on the road and 20% working from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow an existing portfolio of accounts, including distributors and OEM customers
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and underperforming accounts
- Provide sales and technical support to customers within your region
- Maintain accurate and consistent activity reporting via CRM systems
- Follow up on quotations and proactively plan customer visits and events
- Produce monthly sales reports and contribute to quarterly sales meetings
- Collaborate with internal teams including Regional Managers, Segment Managers, Marketing, and R&D
- Assist with budget planning and work towards agreed sales targets
- Attend customer sites to provide support and resolve issues where required
- Prepare quotations and proposals as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a field-based sales role
- Strong relationship-building and account management skills
- Proactive, self-motivated, and highly organised
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider team
- Ability to understand and communicate technical information (training provided where needed)
- Willingness to travel extensively across Northern England
