Location: Cleckheaton, BD19 Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Working Hours: 8:00–4:00 or 9:00–5:00 (flexible option) Contract: Permanent | 38.75 hours per week


 

 

About the Role

We are recruiting a Health & Safety Manager on behalf of our client, a small but growing business with a genuine family feel, based in Cleckheaton (BD19). This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional to play a key role in supporting and developing health, safety, and compliance standards across a dynamic organisation.

The role is primarily Monday to Friday; however, you will occasionally need to engage with weekend and night teams as required.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and compliance activities
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant UK Health & Safety legislation
  • Carry out risk assessments, audits, and inspections
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
  • Deliver Health & Safety training and promote a strong safety culture
  • Work closely with management and operational teams to continuously improve standards

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety role
  • Strong working knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation
  • Relevant Health & Safety qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH or equivalent)
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused approach
