Search Consultancy is looking for an experienced, highly reliable Gateman / Traffic Marshal to join a live construction development in Morpeth. We are partnering with a leading main contractor requiring an attentive operative to take full control of site access, vehicle movements, and gateman duties.

If you are a Gateman who takes pride in maintaining a safe, organised site entrance, managing delivery traffic efficiently, and keeping precise site records, we have an immediate 1-month contract available now.

The Role

• Access Control: Managing the main site entrance, logging all visitors, deliveries, vehicles, and site personnel in and out of the project.

• Traffic Management: Safely banking delivery vehicles, wagons, and plant machinery on and off the main road and onto site safely.

• Public & Safety Interface: Ensuring pedestrian safety near the site perimeter and maintaining clear, safe access corridors at all times.

• Site Delivery Logistics: Communicating directly with site management and delivery drivers to coordinate drop-offs and prevent traffic buildup.

• Security & Welfare: Assisting site management with general perimeter security checks and keeping the gatehouse area tidy and organised.

Requirements

• CSCS Card: A valid CSCS card is mandatory.

• Certifications: Valid CPCS or NPORS (Traffic Marshal / Vehicle Slinger / Banking ticket) is mandatory.

• PPE: Full standard 5-point PPE (Hard Hat, High-Vis Vest/Jacket, Safety Boots, Gloves, and Safety Glasses).

• Experience: Proven track record as a Gateman or Traffic Marshal on live busy construction or civil sites.

• Reliability: Excellent communication skills, punctual, assertive, and highly reliable.

• Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.
