Our client is a global company specialising in the design, manufacture and maintenance of aerospace tooling for both the civil and defence markets.
Based in Amsterdam and reporting to the Customer Services Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining and developing client relationships within the technical services division. Leveraging your mechanical expertise, you will ensure that quality, cost, and deadline objectives are consistently met.
This position may require occasional travel, and a comprehensive training package will be provided.
As a key part of the customer service team, you will be assigned to carry out the following duties.
Key Duties:
- Assist in the Diagnosing, repair, and maintenance of aircraft and engine tooling, including engine stands, bootstraps, tripods, lifting tools, support tools, and more, in accordance with the manuals.
- Perform minor repairs of tools at customer sites.
- Calibrate and periodic testing of tooling
- Perform regular inspections and tests, identify faults, and efficiently troubleshoot technical issues.
- Keep accurate and complete records of repairs, parts replacements, and technical inspections.
Principal skills:
You should have a strong background in technical drawing analysis and at least 12 months of recognised professional experience in the industrial sector, ideally in industrial/light engineering, machining, aircraft tooling repair, or automotive/forklift repair. Aerospace experience is not required.
- Reading and analysing technical drawings
- Proficient in English and Dutch, written and verbal
- Must be able to communicate effectively across a range of customers
- Ability to solve technical problems as they arise using Mechanical and other skills
- Possess knowledge of processes including machining, turning, milling, welding etc
- Applies a methodical and organised approach to work practises
