We are currently recruiting for the following position on behalf of our global aviation client, a leading aerospace tooling support company. Our client is a world-renowned specialist in the design, manufacturing, and servicing of aircraft tooling, engine tooling, engine stands, and aviation ground support equipment. Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Location: Limoges-Fourches, Seine-et-Marne
Contract Type: Permanent, Fulltime
Package: Competitive plus annual bonus
Reporting to the Customer Services Manager your role is to manage the commercial and technical relationship with Clients from the preparation of the quote to invoicing and delivery to meet customer needs and considering the company's technical and commercial objectives.
In this role, your responsibilities include:
- Inspecting and diagnosing systems and sub-assemblies and determining the necessary operations and/or parts to restore equipment to service or compliance.
- Analysing the client's needs, developing a work plan, and ensuring follow-up. Allocating the necessary resources based on time, budget, and quality constraints.
- Providing after-sales service interventions at sites equipped with resources deployed by our client, either in the service workshop or directly at the client's site.
- Maintaining traceability of actions performed on client equipment, writing diagnostic reports, and describing identified malfunctions or technical difficulties.
- Preparing quotes aligned with profitability objectives, defining a suitable technical and commercial solution, and negotiating the terms and conditions of the intervention with the client.
- Develop service activity in line with established objectives: prospecting plan, customer and prospect visits, business capture and service proposals.
Principal skills:
You should have a strong background in mechanical engineering and at least 2-3 years of recognised professional experience in the industrial sector, ideally in industrial/light engineering, machining, aircraft tooling repair, or automotive/forklift repair.
- Proficient in French & English, written and verbal
- Must be able to communicate effectively across a range of customers
- Ability to solve technical problems as they arise using Mechanical and other skills
- Applies a methodical and organised approach to work practises
