B1 Licensed Engineer – Embraer 190 Type Training Opportunity
Location: London City Airport (LCY)
We are recruiting experienced UK CAA B1.1 Licensed Engineers who are looking to secure an Embraer 190 type rating with a leading mainline airline operation based at London City Airport.
This is a permanent position focused on line maintenance, covering both scheduled and unscheduled work, defect rectification, and AOG recovery within one of Europe’s most unique and operationally demanding airport environments.

The Opportunity
- Permanent, full-time role
- 5/5/4 shift pattern covering days and nights or permanent nights
- Two guaranteed weekends off per month
- First-year package circa £90,000, plus excellent mainline airline travel benefits
- Embraer 190 type training provided for successful candidates (if not already held)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled line maintenance activities
- Diagnose and rectify aircraft defects in line with Part 145 requirements
- Support AOG recovery and operational resilience
- Ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance, and technical performance
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced, precision-driven team environment at LCY
Candidate Requirements
- UK CAA Part 66 B1.1 Licence with at least one aircraft type rating held
- Strong working knowledge of CAA Part 145 procedures
- Proven experience in line maintenance (scheduled & unscheduled)
- Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting capability
- High attention to detail and a strong safety mindset
- Ability to obtain and hold:
- Airport restricted pass
- Airside driving permit
- Embraer 190 type rating desirable, but not essential (training provided)
