We are currently recruiting for the following position on behalf of our global aviation client, a leading aerospace tooling support company. Our client is a world-renowned specialist in the servicing of aircraft tooling, engine tooling, engine stands, and aviation ground support equipment. Job Title: Stores Controller
Location: Colnbrook, Berks

Working within our client’s London Heathrow workshop, you’ll collaborate closely with both the Engineering and Operations teams to ensure the accurate receipt and dispatch of spares and tooling. Day-to-day responsibilities will include booking equipment, tools, and spare parts in and out; collecting and delivering customer equipment between our workshops and customer sites; and cleaning equipment prior to return. You’ll also ensure all associated paperwork is completed accurately and maintained correctly. Typical collection and delivery routes extend UK wide.

Key Responsibilities
Goods In:

  • Receive and check incoming deliveries against purchase orders
  • Inspect goods for damage and report discrepancies
  • Accurately record stock on internal systems
  • Safely store goods in designated warehouse locations

Goods Out:

  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch
  • Ensure orders are accurate and securely packaged
  • Load vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Complete dispatch documentation

Driving Duties:

  • Deliver and collect goods as required
  • Ensure timely and professional customer service during deliveries
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any issues
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness

Essentials:

  • Hold a full, clean, manual UK driving license
  • Proven experience of good IT skills; this role involves frequent use of technology
  • Good understanding of route planning and time management
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good at communicating with people at all levels – both internally and customer facing
  • Must have adequate right to work in the UK
  • Must be able to gain an airport pass – therefore clean personal record and ability to show previous work/educational history up to 5 years prior with references
