Aircraft Avionics Engineer

Aircraft Avionics Engineer (BBBH13708) Jeddah, Saudi Arabia


On behalf of our client, a leading Saudi based aviation MRO specialising in defence aircraft, we are seeking to recruit an Aircraft Avionics Engineer to fulfil a 1-year (renewable) contract.


Awacs (B707) & A330 (MRTT)


Due to the nature of this contract, we can only accept applications from US & South African nationals.

Duration: Contract is one year renewable based on project needs
Shift: Working 5 days from 7


Job Summary
To perform a variety of tasks to support program electrical modifications. The Aircraft Electrical Specialist has the responsibility of removing, replacing, modifying, and maintaining the electrical systems of the airplane. Performs inspections, testing, troubleshooting, correct identified deliverable discrepancies, review of program policies and procedures.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop solutions for technical, operations and maintenance problems.
  • Prepare clear and accurate Avionics systems engineering documentations including operating and maintenance procedures to implement the engineering solutions.
  • Identify equipment, maintenance, or operational improvements to enhance safety, reliability or efficient of aircraft avionics systems.
  • Review OEM Service Bulletins, Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs) and FAA Airworthiness Directives for applicability to the fleet and generates engineering documentations for the accomplishment of avionics systems inspections and modifications.
  • Assess Aircraft damage in case of accident and prepare technical evaluation report with required actions to return the aircraft back to service.
  • Support aircraft PDM programs with timely engineering dispositions
  • Travel as necessary to support aircraft inside or outside the Kingdom.
  • Training of air force employees and provide lectures for visitors as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Experience

  • Must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in aircraft avionics with at least 5 years’ experience on Awacs (Boeing 707), MRTT (Airbus 330), King Air and Saab aircraft
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in radar systems, command and control communications, background in tactical communications.
  • Have understanding and workable knowledge of aircraft avionics systems and provide procedures for aircraft (test and verification) recovery.
  • Proficient in Computer Aided Drafting/Design (AutoCad/CATIA preferred)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
