On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Quality Engineer to join on a permanent basis. As the Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in the inspection, certification, and compliance of aircraft parts.

Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the inspection of incoming aircraft parts.
- Develop and implement inspection protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as our Quality Manual and FAA regulations.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of quality inspection tools and equipment.
- Investigate non-conforming parts and manage the quarantine process.
- Establish and maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, including FAA, EASA, and other regulatory authority inspections.
- Ensure all parts and processes comply with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and other relevant regulatory authorities.
- Maintain proper traceability and documentation for all aircraft parts, including Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and airworthiness certifications.
- Monitor and analyze quality metrics to identify trends and drive improvements in processes and systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to address quality concerns and enhance product reliability.
- Lead initiatives to reduce defects, optimize processes, and improve overall efficiency.
- Implementing methods to inspect, test and evaluate the reliability of Repair Processes, products, and production equipment.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quality assurance/control within the aviation or aerospace industry.
- Prior experience managing a team in a QA/QC capacity.
- Previous work experience in an aircraft parts environment
- Quantum experience preferred.
- ASA auditing experience preferred.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
- ASQ Certified Quality Manager or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
- ISO Lead Auditor Certification
- Strong knowledge of FAA, EASA, AS9100, ISO 9001, and other relevant aviation quality standards.
- Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies, including Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and FMEA.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to conduct root cause analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using quality management software and ERP systems.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of Aerospace Standards
- Strong leadership abilities
