On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit an Engineering Configuration Support professional on an initial 12-month contract, based in either Filton or Broughton.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Digital Wing team, supporting Product Definition and Configuration Management activities across multiple Wing programmes. Working in a cross-functional integration role, you will collaborate closely with Engineering, Programme, Airworthiness and other supporting functions to ensure effective digital and configuration integration throughout the aircraft lifecycle.

The role will involve supporting Product Definition Integration Management activities, ensuring processes are followed and key deliverables are achieved in line with time, cost and quality requirements.

Pay: £34.50 per hour Via Umbrella
Location: Broughton or Filton
Contract: Monday – Friday 35 hours per week, 12 months
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: BPSS

Responsibilities
 

• Manage workload capacity/priorities to ensure no risk to Aircraft delivery
• Manage Engineering Change Process deliverables (stakeholder management)
• Engineering co-ordination of SB (Service Bulletin) dispatch dates for In Service Mods
• Manage Engineering Change activities for the lifecycle of the A/C.
• Provide support to the Multi Functional Team to apply the Processes and Methods correctly.
• Champion Best Practice and Lessons Learnt within the community.
• Opportunity to cross train and support the DMU (Digital Mock Up) team activities
• Opportunity to cross train and support the extended Digital Wing team in digitalisation / automation activities

Essential Skills:
 

• Engineering/Aeronautical degree preferred / HNC or equivalent
• Excellent stakeholder management. You will have a strong professional network (experts, architects, programmes, domains, Finance, Procurement, commercial, strategy etc)
• Excellent communication / presentation skills with the ability to provide clarity and present to executive level stakeholders
• Toolset knowledge preferred but not a must (Training available if required) including Google workspace, Gemini
