Job Opening: Global Lead Electrical Engineer 

Our client, a leading global player in the beverage manufacturing industry, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Global Lead Electrical Engineer to join their Electrical & Sustainability Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the electrical and power design of production equipment across international sites. You will ensure safe, reliable, and integrated solutions, contributing to the successful execution of capital investment projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical site surveys and contribute to long-term masterplans for production facilities.
  • Collaborate with site management and project leaders to define and challenge investment scopes.
  • Participate in engineering processes in line with the client’s capital project standards and methodologies.
  • Prepare project documentation including technical specifications, procurement packages, and project plans.
  • Supervise and evaluate suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality, timelines, and budget requirements.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including brewing, packaging, utilities, civil engineering, and project management.
  • Contribute to internal initiatives focused on standardization, innovation, quality assurance, and technical governance.
  • Provide strategic advice on power generation and distribution technologies.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and maintain relationships with key technology suppliers.

Candidate Profile

Experience and Expertise:

  • 4–8 years of relevant experience in capital investment projects, preferably in the food & beverage or process industry.
  • Proven experience in electrical design and implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of sustainable technologies, electrification, and NetZero strategies.
  • Understanding of production facility operations and configurations.
  • Expertise in medium and low voltage (MV/LV) systems, renewable energy (solar, wind), diesel generators, and power quality solutions.
  • Familiarity with PLC-SCADA systems, industrial bus systems, and digital technologies (IoT, data analytics, cybersecurity).
  • Solid understanding of electrical legislation, standards, and regulations.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

Languages:

  • Fluent in English.
  • Additional languages (e.g., Dutch, German, Spanish, Russian, Chinese) are considered an advantage.

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong analytical, independent, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
