About the Role

This 12-week, full-time locum placement will see you delivering speech pathology services within a public hospital setting. Depending on final budget approval, the role will take one of two shapes: a dedicated adult acute inpatient caseload spanning general medicine, surgical and rehabilitation wards (with potential ED/ICU exposure), or a split caseload combining adult acute hospital work with paediatric assessment and case management through Child Development Services.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver assessment, treatment and case management across adult acute inpatient caseloads
• Support higher acuity areas such as ED/ICU where required
• Provide paediatric assessments and case management if the split role applies
• Collaborate with the hospital's multidisciplinary team and Child Development Services clinicians

Skills and Experience

• Speech Pathology qualification with current AHPRA/Speech Pathology Australia registration
• Hospital experience, ideally adult acute inpatient across general medicine, surgical and rehabilitation
• ED/ICU experience desirable; paediatric assessment experience advantageous
• Strong communication skills and ability to adapt quickly within a new team
