Primary Skills

 

  1. Installation, Troubleshooting of ESX Servers, vSphere Client and Vcenter Server
  2. Create the datastore for storing VMs and data
  3. Deploy Virtual Machines and use Clones, Snapshots, templates
  4. Health Check for VMs and ESX host
  5. Maintain reliable, secure and high performing systems in a multi-domain, multi-site Windows Active Directory environment that consists of IBM servers, EMC storage arrays, VMware vSphere 6.0, Windows 2008/2012 servers.
  6. Maintain, upgrade, and implement improvements to the VMware virtual infrastructure.
  7.  Maintain, upgrade, and implement improvements to the VMware Horizon VDI infrastructure.
  8. Maintain VM templates for building servers in the virtual environment.
  9. Actively monitor event logs for changes or errors and take appropriate actions to resolve issues.
  10. Log all service requests, including detailed problem descriptions, updates and resolutions into our incident tracking system.
  11. Manage available virtual and storage resources within the infrastructure environment.
  12. Collaborate with team members to resolve problems.
  13. Perform upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages, i.e. VDI components, Windows services, or other enterprise applications as necessary.
  14. Create and maintain system documentation for updates made to the infrastructure environment.
  15. Present / Assign LUN to esx host (Actually a storage admin task)
  16. Problem detection, resolution and maintenance on the following software: VMware vSphere 5.5 and newer - VMware Horizon View – Microsoft Windows 7 desktop and newer - Microsoft Server 2012 and newer
  17. Experience with installation, problem detection, resolution and maintenance on the following hardware: Dell Servers, Cisco UCS Servers
  18. Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policies, Microsoft Office 2010 and newer professional products

 

Secondary Skills

  1. Strong knowledge in ITIL process.
