A global leading Manufacturing company are currently looking for an Airworthiness Officer to join their market leading team!

The Airworthiness Officer is responsible for; Leading certification tasks to secure EASA airworthiness approval for company parts and sustain the company’s Part 21J Design Organisation Approval. The Airworthiness Officer will be expected to lead the certification activities of a cross functional team of technical professionals, working on projects relating to the introduction and ongoing support of the company’s products and associated structure changes to a wide range of CS 25, CS 27 and CS 29 platforms.

Other Responsibilities include: Prepare packages of DOA documents and substantiation data for the certification of major design changes via EASA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) application and minor design/repair changes approved by the company’s DOA; Act as focal point for co-ordinating airworthiness and environmental protection matters for company parts certified through the company’s EASA Part 21 Subpart J DOA; Check, approve and issue DOA documents (including certification reports, accomplishment instructions, manual supplements, Instructions for Continued Airworthiness and Service Bulletins)

In order to be considered for this position candidates need; To hold a formal qualification such as BEng/ BSc, Meng, MSc in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering; Experience in EASA DOA certification process, Experience of Surveillance Audits by an EASA DOA Team Leader.

It would be advantageous but not essential for candidates to have; Experience with Catia V5 and SmarTeam PDM systems, EASA Form 4 Holder, Chartered Engineering status.


This position is commutable from, Portsmouth, Havant, Winchester, Southampton, Fareham, Guildford, Chichester and other areas within Hampshire.
