About the role

The Academic Director is responsible for the efficient, effective and equitable delivery of high quality academic programs. This incorporates responsibilities for development and implementation of a quality learning and teaching framework, program development and accreditation, management of resources and provision of academic services that enrich the student experience. The role is also responsible for developing strong links with key staff at our partner University. 

 

The person we seek will ideally have the following

  • A Masters degree or higher in a discipline relevant to one of those offered by the College
  • Sound knowledge of TEQSA regulations
  • Demonstrated excellence in leadership and management within a higher education environment
  • High operational aptitude with the ability to build strong, sustainable academic teams, manage resources within a budget and coordinate a broad range of academic functions
  • Successful track record in fostering and implementing change
  • Substantial experience in curriculum development, including the management and evaluation of learning and teaching effectiveness
  • Demonstrated experience in effective learning and teaching including ability to develop scholarly, innovative and flexible approaches to teaching and the facilitation of learning
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire students and staff
  • Proven success in working collaboratively and an ability to build highly productive relationships across a range of internal and external partners
