Processing Specialist - DIRECT HIRE

Manpower has partnered with a regional financial institution to help identify strong PROCESSING SPECIALISTS to work with their Mortgage team in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
 
This position at it’s core requires someone with strong project management skills as this role is responsible for ensuring the effective and timely processing of mortgage loan application files from the time the application is submitted through closing of the loan. This position will also be responsible for ensuring compliance within department guidelines as well as investor and regulatory guidelines. The ideal candidate will also have strong communication and customer service skills as this role serves as the point of contact for clients, builders, and realtors to answer any questions that they might have throughout the mortgage loan application process.
 
What exactly is the job?
• Responsible for oversight of the mortgage loan from input through closing
• Assist in the compilation of required source documents
• Order, review, analyze and follow up on all settlement services and loan documentation necessary to make an underwriting decision – i.e. pulling credit reports, verifying mortgage insurance, employment verifications, flood determinations, survey requirements, title work, etc.
• Perform review of all application information to original source documents to ensure data integrity with compliance, investor, corporate, and industry standards
• Follow up on conditions needed to obtain final loan approval to ensure an accurate, timely, and efficient loan closing
 
What do you bring to the job?
• Previous experience working with Mortgage Loan documentation
• Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office
• Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and time management skills
• Ability to work under pressure, handling multiple mortgage files at a time, and with a sense of urgency
• Solid verbal and written communication
• Extraordinary customer service skills
