Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with key stakeholders to provide financial insight, challenge assumptions, and support effective decision-making.
  • Own and drive budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Analyse variances against budget and forecast, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Support the development of business cases and evaluate financial implications of strategic initiatives.
  • Produce clear, decision-ready reporting for senior leaders, translating financial data into practical insights.
  • Monitor performance metrics and trends, highlighting risks and opportunities to improve outcomes.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to improve financial processes, controls, and reporting effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial policies, procedures, and internal governance requirements.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or equivalent demonstrable experience in a finance business partnering role.
  • Strong commercial finance acumen with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex modelling, data analysis, and the ability to build robust reporting packs.
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting cycles, including variance analysis and performance management.
  • Strong analytical capability with excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and present financial information in an accessible, business-focused way.
  • Experience using ERP and finance systems (for example, SAP, Oracle, or similar) to support reporting and planning.
  • Knowledge of financial controls and governance, ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to policy.
