Senior Structural Engineer — Melbourne

There's a version of this role that sounds the same everywhere. Senior engineer, great projects, collaborative team. This one earns it.

The structural team here is sitting on a project list that takes most firms a decade to build. Two 72-storey high-rise residential towers alongside a nationally recognised architecture practice. Major hospital work running across Victoria and into other states. Student accommodation, aged care, aquatic centres. And a growing presence in Western Australia off the back of a flagship public health project in Perth. The scope is broad, the complexity is real, and the pipeline isn't slowing down.

You'd come in at senior level, primarily delivery-focused, working across concept through to construction documentation. A strong associate group means you're not expected to lead independently from day one, but you do need to be technically capable and comfortable running your portion of a project with minimal hand-holding. Post-tension design is the priority. Lateral stability experience is a bonus, not a requirement.

The non-negotiable is this: you need to understand the fundamentals well enough to work through the calculation before you go near the software.
