Salary: GBP35000 - GBP40000 per annum

HEAD OF FUNDRAISING REQUIRED FOR AN ASAP START! HEAD OFFICE BASED IN COVENTRY HOWEVER THIS ROLE HAS OPPORTUNITY FOR REMOTE WORKING - UPTO £40,000 PER ANNUM + EXCELLENT BENEFITS + HOLIDAYS + FLEXIBLE WORKING 

My client is a one of the largest leading charities in the UK and due business growth through funding/direction they are now looking to recruit a Head of Fundraising to join their business. This position is something of a blank canvass which will require a fundraising expert to join them business, utilise their existing fantastic funding base and looking to maximise and bring in new funding to support the business. The company have a truly brilliant vision for the future and an extremely strong brand presence as well as full back office support to the successful applicant. This opportunity would well suit an individual who's got a keen eye for business and a strong network to utilise. Own transport and a full UK driving licence is essential as some travelling to various locations will be required as well as infrequent travel to the head office in Coventry. 

[ The role ] 

  • Develop the organisation’s fund-raising strategy to support the short, medium and long-term sustainability of the organisation
  • Work closely with the CEO, Executive and wider teams to identify a range of fund-raising opportunities and implement plans to generate income from those opportunities
  • Achieve agreed income targets from a broad portfolio of fund-raising streams, including corporate support, individual donors, trusts, foundations and community fund-raising
  • Be responsible for developing our corporate partner strategy and building relationships with new and existing partners
  • Contribute to researching and writing credible bids for trusts and foundations and supporting all other areas of income generation, including assisting in generating and supporting legacy pledges
  • Manage the fund-raising team and external fund-raising agencies as required
  • Comply with all statutory regulatory obligations including but not limited to the Fund-raising Regulator, GDPR and Safeguarding
  • Contribute to the overall management of the charity

[ Person and skills required ]

  • Significant fund-raising experience, including a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the field of fund-raising at officer level or above
  • Experience of being target-focused and resilient in tough fund-raising environment
  • Experience of working under pressure and to deadlines
  • Ability to produce high quality, written applications to a variety of prospective supporters
  • Good interpersonal skills, working with a broad range of people
  • Good understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise, plan and use own time efficiently
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport
