Role Summary:

The SharePoint Specialist is a critical role in UKAEA's Computing Division. In this position, you'll be operating under the Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions Unit, providing technical support for the SharePoint Online environment. You'll translate business and customer needs into technical solutions, offering your expertise in SharePoint Online, Office 365, and associated processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business users to develop new and existing SharePoint Online sites.
  • Provide technical support for SharePoint Online and Office 365 technologies, adhering to SLAs.
  • Manage SharePoint Online user permissions, site content, structure settings, and hierarchy.
  • Create documentation for end-users and site owners, ensuring its accuracy.
  • Work with SharePoint developers to design new SharePoint Online sites.
  • Support with Security and Compliance Centre administration and Office 365 administration.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent IT skills, with Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified Fundamentals (MS-900) and Deploying Microsoft 365 Teamwork (MS-300).
  • Experience in developing and running SharePoint sites, ideally with SharePoint Online.
  • Able to translate user requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong skills in communication, time management, and problem-solving.
  • Experience with IT Service Management, ITIL accreditation is preferred.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications and capabilities.
  • Experience with web-page content management and development.
  • Understanding and use of SharePoint administration tools, e.g., ShareGate Desktop.

You'll be working in an office environment with 37.5 hours per week. We prioritise our employees' health and safety, ensuring all risks are mitigated. The contract starts ASAP, initially for 6 months, with a potential extension. This role offers an hourly rate of £33.98 PAYE and £43.68 via an approved Umbrella.
