Conveyancing Assistant

Location: Leeds City Centre
Working Pattern: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
Working Arrangement: Fully office-based
Holiday: 23 days annual leave + bank holidays

About the Role

We are looking for a hard-working and experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join our busy Residential & Commercial Conveyancing Department based in Leeds City Centre.

The successful candidate will have good practical experience within residential conveyancing and be confident supporting fee earners with the day-to-day management of conveyancing matters. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, proactive and keen to develop their career within a supportive and professional legal environment.

Although the department handles both residential and commercial conveyancing, strong residential conveyancing experience is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting fee earners with a varied caseload of residential and commercial conveyancing matters.
  • Supporting with the day-to-day progression of residential property transactions from instruction through to completion.
  • Preparing and issuing correspondence and legal documentation.
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents, lenders and other third parties.
  • Assisting with property searches, enquiries and replies to enquiries.
  • Reviewing and organising legal documentation.
  • Assisting with exchange of contracts and completions.
  • Undertaking post-completion administration and Land Registry work.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case management records.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence and documentation.
  • Providing general administrative and fee-earning support to the conveyancing team.
  • Ensuring matters are progressed efficiently and within required timescales.
  • Providing a professional and friendly service to clients at all times.
