SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in French Navy or in a Marine Engineering
discipline
Fifteen (15) years experience in the Marine Mechanical Design and Engineering including
four (4) years in Marine shipbuilding.
Experience on F2000, F3000 & LRT class ships or similar French Navy warships is
appreciated.
Experience may be military or industrial.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises, coordinates and manages engineering division personnel in providing
technical guidance, assistance in the planning, modification and maintenance of ship
superstructure, outfitting of ship and shore electrical systems, mechanical and
machinery equipment,
· Performs technical, design and engineering services in the general field of HMES
systems,
· Establishes and coordinates liaisons between production shops and Engineering for
fast response to waterfront technical problems,
· Participates in developing technical recommendations for proposed alterations,
modifications and field changes to HMES systems,
· Participates to prepare RAV, IMA, ROH,
· Reviews and maintains Maintenance Requirement Cards for HMES systems and
makes recommendations for necessary changes,
· Ensures that current configuration of HMES systems is maintained in accordance with
established policy,
· Assists and participates in the evaluation of work report and the preparation of other
reports involving HMES systems. Participates in inspections and field tests requested
by RSNF / SRF,
· Manages the SRF data library,
· Transfers his knowledge of position related skills, duties and responsibilities to RSNF
maintenance technicians through On Job Training,
· Provides technical expertise to RSNF / SRF as requested.
