REQUIREMENTS:

The Electronic Technician ECM/EWS performs scheduled and corrective maintenance,
overhauls and repairs on electronic countermeasures and warfare systems.
He completes all related maintenance forms, logs and records.
He provides crew’s level I maintenance training and he has ability to order supply parts in
accordance with SRF’s supply systems. High School Scientific field or High Technical College graduate equivalent education with
intensive military or industrial training for maintenance and repair of ECM/EWS systems
and specific course of instruction on the maintenance and repair of ECM/EWS systems.

EXPERIENCE
Six (6) years experience as an Electronic Technician. Maintenance experience of at least
two (2) years on the following equipment: DR 3000, DR 4000 UG, SALAMANDRE and
CER.
Experience may be military or industrial.

Tasks
· Troubleshoots, performs shipboard repairs and tests Electronic Counter Measures,
Electronic Warfare Systems and other electronic equipment as assigned,
· Removes, overhauls, installs and tests Electronic Warfare Systems and other electronic
equipment,
· Performs Planned Maintenance as scheduled and corrective maintenance works SRF
level,
· Participate in harbour and sea trials,
· Disassembles, repairs, adjusts, reassembles and tests Electronic Warfare Systems and
other electronic equipment components for re-issue,
· Prepares maintenance records and reports,
· Provides technical assistance in areas involving interface or integration of
equipment/systems,
· Transfers his knowledge of position related skills, duties and responsibilities to RSNF
maintenance technicians through On Job Training,
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
