Position:  Data Engineer (CAD)

Location:  Presteigne, Wales

Salary: Up to £45K, DOE


Nicholas Associates has an excellent opportunity for a Data Engineer (CAD), to join an innovative & established client in the Presteigne area.

We are looking for someone with a background in understanding technical drawings and using computer applications to create the necessary tools and processes for manufacture.

It would be preferable if you had a background in PCBs to understand our current market, however it is not essential.

You will be required to provide technical support to new and existing customers and assist with New Product Introductions.

Job Purpose

Process data through CAD software “Genesis LT” and generate the necessary tooling for production, including:
 

• Drill Programs
• Rout Programs
• Files for Direct Imaging
• Files for Automatic Optical inspection (AOI)
• Files for Bare Board (BBT)
• Create Process flows for new jobs within our ERP software “XA”.
• Loading existing Process flows within our ERP software “XA

 
Training & Experience Requirements
 

• Educated to degree level preferred but not essential
• Educated in to GCSE (grades >4.4) standard or above in STEM subjects
• Good numeracy skills
• IT literate, specifically email (Office), Word and Excel
• Experience in printed circuit manufacture would be an advantage
