Position : Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Location : West Yorkshire, Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Halifax, Castleford, Barnsley, Doncaster

Salary : £45,000 - £57,000 according to experience

Hybrid : No, this is an office based role

Experience level : Professional experience is essential. We cannot consider people straight out of academia

Products : Special purpose machinery

Software : Autodesk Inventor preferred, Solidworks also acceptable

Requirements :

• Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Aided Design or very similar to at least HNC Level
• Proven experience of the design and development of special purpose machinery
• FEA abilities preferred
• Pneumatic or hydraulic understanding beneficial
• Experience of documenting system specifications
• Able to carry out risk assessments on designs
• Design for manufacture
• FMEA understanding
• Any understanding of control systems would be beneficial but is not essential
• Experience of FAT and SAT to proof designs
