Salary: GBP36611 - GBP41611 per annum

Castle Education are excited to be working as a partner with Scarborough Tec to recruit for a Head of Creative and Community.

The Curriculum Manager will be responsible for managing staff and teams across a variety of curriculum offers including Maths and English, Creative Arts, Hair and Beauty, and Community Learning.

The successful Curriculum Manager will be able to support teams to deliver the best quality teaching and learning to maximise student outcomes and success. The role of Curriculum manager is an exciting role in providing challenges and an opportunity to develop and grow the key curriculum offers within the college. The role has a key focus on Teaching, Learning and Assessment, Attendance, Retention, Achievement, and the standard of the output data.

The successful candidate will have sound knowledge of the Education Inspection Framework and will also have experience in growing and developing programmes. You will also be proactive, a keen problem-solver, and be able to communicate well across all levels of the College and build efficient relationships with all key stakeholders, both internal and external.

Qualifications and Experience Required includes.

  • A degree-level qualification within a Curriculum subject or Education and Training
  • Teaching Qualifications including PGCE, Certificate in Education, or equivalent.
  • A proven track record of successful leadership and management in an FE environment or apprenticeships and training.
  • Experience within a relevant curriculum subject would also be beneficial. The subjects covered by the post are as follows.
    • Maths and English
    • Creative Arts
    • Hair and Beauty
    • Community Learning

It would also be advantageous to have any of these additional qualifications. Leadership and management, assessor, and IQA.

The salary for this role is £41,611
