Are you a level 3 or above-qualified nursery practitioner? Do you have experience of leading a room? Are you looking for work in January? Castle Education have a Room Leader role that they are recruiting for, offering full-time hours, 38 hours per week, over 4 days, on a permanent contract. This role is to start in January. The role is to work within the preschool room, which currently has 45 preschool children.
Castle Education are working with a lovely Nursery in the York area who are looking for an experienced Nursery Room Leader who has previous experience managing and leading a room, As Room Leader, you are to safeguard the children ensuring the education provided is quality and excellent. The environment must be safe, secure, and caring to ensure the correct development of all children. As Nursery Room Manager you are to lead the team providing a caring and stimulating environment, enabling all members to work together as a close cohort. The role of room leader is offering 38 hours per week which are to be spread over 4 days.
Your main duties as Nursery Room Leader:
- Lead the room team
- To support the Nursery Leadership Team
- Encourage and Develop children
- Supervise Staff and Students
- Records to be updated and adhered to
- Oversee the planning and implementation of activities in line with the EYFS framework
Qualifications and Qualities, you are required to have:
- Minimum Level 3 Childcare Qualification or Equivalent
- Good GCSEs in Maths and English
- Management experience within a Pre-School room
- Experience of working within a busy preschool
- Due to the location of the nursery, a driver would be essential.
The Salary for this role is £22,000 - £25,000
In order to be successful in the role of Room Leader, you must have previous knowledge and experience of leading a team of Nursery Practitioners in a large room as the Nursery currently have 45 preschool-aged children they are caring for.
