Castle Education are currently recruiting for a 1-2-1 SEN Specialist to work with the Early Years Foundation Stage, within a nursery setting. The nursery is based in the Scarborough area. The role is offering part-time hours (starting at 12:30 and finishing at 15:30) and is permanent. This role is term time only.
The successful candidate will be providing support to the child and ensuring the child’s needs are met. The candidate must also be able to; provide a happy and safe environment, help the child develop and grow, encourage the child to always be positive and to respect other children and to create activities that promote intellectual development.
The Client is looking for a Specialist with a minimum of a Level 3 qualification within the Early Years sector and experience within the SEN department.
Essential Requirements of the role:
- Level 3 Childcare qualifications or equivalent
- SEN Experience
- Safeguarding Qualifications
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service (or willing to undergo a check through Castle Education)
The role will require patience and perseverance to support the child in their studies. You must be an effective communicator and ultimately you need to be resilient and adaptable to respond to challenges if required.
