Castle Education are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants including ATA's and GTA's for the new academic year, the role will be to provide either day to day or more long-term support within schools across North Yorkshire and the surrounding areas.
Teaching Assistants will be responsible for aiding the Teacher in supporting students one to one or in a small group, across a wide range of activities and learning. This will include supporting the Teacher by undertaking preparation of resources for the lessons/learning, maintenance and/or adaptation of resources, administration and completion of paperwork, contributing to the student's development including their social and emotional well-being, providing general and specific assistance to students, under the direction and guidance of the teacher or independently in a one-to-one setting. You may also work with SEN children to support them in their studies.
You will be a reliable and enthusiastic team player, able to build and develop positive relationships with the students and staff, with a commitment to providing a supportive learning environment.
The rate of pay varies for a role of this nature but is likely to average between £60 and £75 a day
Requirements for the role;
Level 3 Supporting in Schools qualification or equivalent
Experience as a Teaching Experience
Access to Transport is advantageous
A valid DBS on the update service will also be required but Castle Education can provide the application if required.
As this is a role within schools there will be various safeguarding and compliance checks carried out prior to any placement being made.
