Castle Employment HR division are working with their North Yorkshire-based client to recruit a first, and initially stand-alone, HR Manager.

This exciting new role will see the successful candidate working for an accomplished business with ambitious growth plans.  Reporting to the Operations Director, you will ensure the provision of a proactive and comprehensive HR and advice service to the business, and work in partnership with the management teams to help create, shape and deliver people orientated and pragmatic solutions.

You will be responsible for coaching and building the capability and confidence of leaders and managers on all people matters, helping them to understand, access and improve capability of their teams.  Additionally you will provide HR insight into change management, organisational design, employee engagement and succession planning, as well as contribute to the overall people strategy.  The role will also include the provision of day to day advice and support, as well as coaching, to managers on a range of employee relations issues, and provide advice to hiring managers on the end to end resourcing process.

The ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified (minimum Level 5), and have previous experience in a HR Generalist role ideally in a standalone capacity.  You will have thorough knowledge and understanding of HR legislation/employment law, supported by Human Resource Management best practice principles,  practices and procedures.  Additionally, you will have experience of managing change, be a highly effective communicator with an ability to build credible working relationships, and possess the ability to coach, train and guide managers across a range of people issues.
