Contract and Commercial Coordinator (MM25559) Edinburgh, Scotland

Salary: Negotiable DOE + Benefits

My client is a successful a well-established engineering company who supply products into the defence industry. They currently have an immediate requirement for a Contract and Commercial Coordinator to join them on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Commercial Manager the main purpose of the role is to see contract process throughout full cycle.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in bidding process
  • Managing CRM database
  • Compiling reviews and progress supports for management team and external customers
  • Investigation of cost discrepancies and resolving as required
  • Supporting with bidding process
  • Making amendments to standard terms and conditions
  • Leading and taking minutes in project reviews
  • Approving quotations and accepting incoming orders
  • Ensuring all work is compliant
  • Providing support to subcontract buyer and International business managers
  • Investigation of customer issues and liaising with all areas of business to provide resolution

To be considered for this position, candidates must have the following background and skills:

  • Previous experience in a similar position such as Contracts Coordinator/Commercial Coordinator/Commercial Officer within Manufacturing or Engineering
  • Must be pro-active and able to identify business risks and opportunities and use initiative to resolve any issues
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to build strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong IT skills, able to use a number of software packages including MS Office packages and ERP systems
