Principal Functional Lead | D365 CE & Power Platform

Hybrid - 2/3 days P/W in Sydney  or Melbourne

We’re partnering with a growing Microsoft consultancy delivering large-scale digital transformation programs across enterprise environments. Due to continued project growth, they are looking to appoint a senior Functional Consultant to lead customer engagements across Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys working closely with customers, shaping solutions, leading workshops, and driving successful project delivery from discovery through to go-live.

The Role

You will work directly with customers to help modernise operations, improve service delivery, and streamline business processes through Microsoft technologies.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading functional discovery workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions
• Gathering, analysing, and translating business requirements into scalable solution designs
• Delivering functional solutions across Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform
• Supporting implementations across areas such as customer service, scheduling, field operations, workflow automation, and case management
• Managing functional design documentation, UAT coordination, defect resolution, and go-live activities
• Acting as a trusted advisor to both customers and internal delivery teams
• Providing leadership and guidance across complex transformation engagements
• Supporting pre-sales activities, demonstrations, and solution discussions where required

About You

• Extensive experience delivering Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform solutions in a functional consulting capacity
• Strong background leading customer-facing workshops and requirements gathering sessions
• Proven experience owning end-to-end functional delivery across complex implementations
• Experience across modules such as Customer Service, Field Service, Marketing, or broader CE capabilities
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced consulting environment across multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with both operational and executive-level users
• Previous consulting or Microsoft Partner experience highly regarded
• Strong understanding of functional architecture and business process transformation
