Architectural Superintendent

Architectural Superintendent (400) Vietnam

Supervises Contractor’s yard construction activities.
• Ensure proper coordination between fabrication/installation and pre-fabrication activities.
• Ensure proper coordination with sub-contractors involved in the assembly stages.

• Searches for the most efficient technical solutions.

• To ascertain that the CPP Topsides facilities are built as per the project requirements, the job holder verify and approve Contractor’s and/or Subcontractors/Vendors’ drawings, fabrication procedures and methodologies, and ensure that Contractor and/or Subcontractors/Vendors have adequate equipment, resources, means and manpower to performed the job with the required quality level and to compete it in due time.

• He reports on a day-to-day basis directly to the Topside Company Site Representative.

• To liaise with CPY HVAC, EIT SPDTs during construction of GE Technical building,

• The job holder is also accountable for demonstrating, individually, an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE rules & requirements.
• To implement the Technical Referential and applicable local and international codes
• The Job holder may also have to be involved in his discipline activities during CPP Topsides hook-up, installation and offshore commissioning phases.
• To promote & comply with applicable safety instructions and other COMPANY HSE procedures in all activities.

• To carry out work in compliance with COMPANY values and policies, relevant laws and regulations, agreed COMPANY priorities and objectives, COMPANY standards and procedures and good industry practices.

• To treat all information obtained during course of the work with confidentiality.

• During construction and pre-commissioning phases, the job holder shall (or shall ensure through his Yard Supervisors):
- Participate to KOM with Contractor/Subcontractor wrt Discipline matters;
- Review the relevant Contractor's and suppliers ITP's and procedures (in coordination with Architectural disciplines);
- Monitor and control the implementation on site of the approved drawings and plans, Surveillance plans, Inspection and test plans;
- Monitor and control CTR’s daily / weekly progress report for structural prefabrication and erection;
- Liaise with CPY QC team to ensure that the works are closely inspected by the contractor’s QC inspection team (e.g. RT, UT, MPI, PMI, Dimensional Control.);
- Challenge Contractor and Sub-suppliers on QA/QC performance and Inspection activities, and to perform routine and random inspections on a daily basis in this regard;
- Monitor the work deficiencies and ensure the implementation of the necessary corrective actions;
- Follow up on the implementation of decided action plans, or other mitigation plan issued;
- Stop & report immediately to Topside Company Site Representative any anomaly or non-conformity;
- Attend and participate in daily meetings; Attend, when requested, the various construction meetings, and provide support to the CSR in its various reviews
- Participate to construction, HSE or QAQC specific audits or visits; Provide regular inspection & activity reports.
- Follow up on the implementation of decided action plans, or other mitigation plan issued;
- Review and approve the different inspection reports issued by the Contractor and/or Subcontractors/Vendors’ on a daily basis.
- Use the CPP Topsides 3D model tool to check/to anticipate potential clash during Technical building construction
- Ensure that Contractor and Vendors personnel are qualified for the task they’ve been assigned to.
- Issue Non-Conformance reports or review Contractor Non-Conformance reports and validate dispositions. Intervene as necessary where warranted.
- Issue and/or participate in the issuance of CMS Deviation applicable to architectural disciplines with support of relevant disciplines engineer (Structure, Safety, HVAC, Electrical, Instrumentation, telecom, corrosion).
- Participate in the resolution of DEV and TQ related to architectural disciplines with the support of MP Structural Engineer as Engineering focal points for architectural design.
- Assist reporting during all phases and more particularly the close-out report and lesson learnt.
- To verify the completeness and correctness of the as built drawings and manage the final project documentation and ensure the complete handover to NOC Commissioning team.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Qualification:
o Education to HND/BTS level or COMPANY approved equivalent in engineering.
• Professional Experience (number of years): 15.
• Experience within project: (number of years): 10.
• Structural experience is required on topsides EPCIC Project and practical knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as EN, ISO, ASTM, NACE and SSPC. Experience on construction yard is required.
• Familiar with the Architectural international standard for Offshore technical room such as NFPA10, NFPA 101, NFPA 2001, MARPOL 73/78, SOLAS IMO, EN 12825
• A good knowledge of Oil and Gas Industry Standards and International codes/standards related to design, fabrication, inspection and pre-commissioning.
• Good leadership skills and good communication skills.
• Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment.
• Be skilled in using computer programs for word processing, database management, spreadsheets and e-mail communications.
• Familiar with PRODOM/MANASA
• Language: English mandatory.
• H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings.
